Centennial Quilt
This is a detail from Eldra Robertson's quilt which won first prize for the Cariboo District in the BC Centennial Committee's Quilt competition. Each block was based on archival photographs. This panel depicts St. Saviour's Church in Barkerville with a prospector and a Chinese labourer. Eldra, who resided in Clinton, worked on the quilt for 6 months in 1967. This quilt went on to a provincial competition at the Pacific National Exhibition and was acquired by the British Columbia Provincial Museum. It came to the Quesnel Museum in 1976 on long term loan.
