Archibald Clemes

By the 1890s Murray had sold out to Archibald Clemes, and retired back to Scotland. During the 1880s Archibald Clemes and his wife operated James Murray's hotel "Morton House" in Spences Bridge. Mr. Clemes was one of the first commercial fruit growers in the interior of B.C. He later built the 'Pantages' Theatre in Vancouver.
