Branwen Patenaude

Branwen has been researching and writing about the gold rush trail and the roadhouses along it for many decades. Her two major books: Trails to Gold (1995) and Trails to Gold II - Roadhouses of the Cariboo (1996) are packed with the vital lives of the early pioneers. Both this web site and the video on the Gold Rush Trail were developed from an original slide show presentation created by Branwen and presented in numerous venues over the past few years.

Ruth Stubbs

As curator of the Quesnel and District Museum & Archives Ruth has been the organizing force behind much of the development of this web site. She has done the footwork to allow the website to use the numerous images from the B.C. Archives. She has thoughtfully but persistently edited video scripts, website scripts and web pages. She has been in charge of organizing the Living Landscapes event to be held in May of 2002 in Quesnel. With her staff and volunteers she has also digitized all the images used in the web site and prepared all the documentation to go with those images.

Bill Atkinson

Bill is the web site designer and web page writer. With previous experience with the Boyd family of Cottonwood house and Pioneer Farming at Cottonwood house he has bundled a diverse set of images into a coherent package. Bill is a counsellor at Quesnel Secondary and a former Computer Science teacher.
