Research Details
Nothing
can be signed out
Unlike a library where you are free to sign out items from the collection,
archival documents are not permitted to be loaned. Archival records are
one of a kind documents; if something happens to them, we cannot replace
them. Additionally, we do not permit our reference books to leave the
building. We only have a limited number of books and we would not want
them to go missing.
A note on Research Services
The staff and volunteers at the Quesnel & District Museum are open
to all inquiries. If we don't know, we will do our very best to find out
or direct you to someone who may know. However, keep in mind that only
you can do your own research effectively. We are here to lead you to the
records. However, as a researcher, the rest is up to you!
Fees for Research Services
While there is not a fee for basic identification, we do have a policy
that states that if research assistance is anticipated to require 15 minutes
or more of staff time, then the person or group requesting assistance
is to be advised that a $20.00 per hour fee will apply. They will be charged
accordingly for all staff time utilized.
Fees for photocopies, laminating, and photography:
- Photocopies: Each photocopy is 50 cents.
- Laminating: $2.00 per metre.
- Photography:
- Provided that we have the staff to do so, there is a $3.00 charge for
the first print produced (4 x 6) and each additional print is $2.00 (4
x 6)
