Chinese Artifact Collection

Chinese artifacts, trade tokens, weights, compass-watch

Chinese immigrants came to the Quesnel area as early as 1860, searching for gold.  Many soon turned to business;   operating stores, providing services or farming.  From a large stone mill to make tofu or a rare brass fire pump, to equipment from the Chinese laundry or trade tokens from the Wah Lee Store, the many activities of our Chinese pioneers are well represented in our artifact collection.
