Carson Family

Alfred Carson arrived in Quesnel in 1872 and married Mary Ann Boyd in 1886. The Carson farm was on the east bank of the Quesnel River. Three of the four children did not marry and together maintained the farm and a house in town. The collection documents the activities of the family and their friends. The majority of the photographs were taken by Janet Carson (1892-1963). The collection is notable for the amount of documentation recorded by the photographer. Select image for full view.
