The vest was made by Mary Paul in 1963-64. Mary and her husband worked for Ron and Helen Peebles on their farm in Bouchie Lake. Mary made the vest for Helen Peebles. From what the donor remembers Mary was always very happy, always smiling. She made two vest that year. Don Woodward, known as "Woody", got the other one. The vest is a fantastic example of First Nations expertise in tanning and leatherworking.
