The Cariboo Observer has been the principal newspaper for the region since 1908. The Quesnel & District Museum & Archives with the support of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at the University of British Columbia, digitized this paper. Black Press, The Friends of the Quesnel Museum & the Integris Community Foundation also contributed to the project.
The Cariboo Observer Archive is now hosted by Newspapers.com. Access is still available without a subscription, as long as you access the archives each time through the link below. If you wish to make use of the clipping feature or save articles to a folder you will be asked to provide an email address and create a password. You are not signing up for a subscription, with access to all Newspapers.com holdings, but are creating a tool for the site to retrieve your saved articles.
The Cariboo Sentinel has been digitized by the University of British Columbia and the British Colonists by the University of Victoria.
